The two main factors of gas boiler corrosion
10/08/2021If the gas boiler performs various operations in strict accordance with the operating requirements, and conducts regular inspections and maintenance, the problems that occur during the operation will be greatly reduced, the service life can reach 15-20 years, and the cost-effectiveness will be higher. Corrosion is an important factor affecting the service life of the boiler. If the boiler is corroded due to operator error or failure to carry out maintenance work on time, the thickness of the boiler body will become thinner, the thermal efficiency will decrease, and the service life will be shortened.
Flue gas corrosion
The cause of boiler corrosion is flue gas. The boiler needs fuel to burn. The combustion process will produce flue gas. When the high-temperature flue gas passes through the boiler wall, condensation will appear, and the formed condensate will seriously corrode the metal surface.
Scale corrosion
The other main cause of boiler corrosion is scale corrosion. For example, if we use the kettle for boiling water for a long time, scale will appear in the kettle, which will affect the quality of drinking water. Secondly, it will take a long time to boil a kettle of water. As a "monster" hundreds to thousands of times larger than a kettle, the boiler is very harmful if it corrodes.
Therefore, it is recommended that all enterprises and units that use gas boilers choose standard and reliable manufacturers when purchasing, and the water used in the boiler should also be softened, so as to ensure the safe production of the boiler and allow it to be used for a long time.
